Event Information:

SALT(Seniors Active in Life Together) has received a personal invitation from Tim Ternes, the Director of The Saint John's Bible at the Hill Museum & Manuscript Library, to explore the Bible and the art collections at St. John's Library. Earlier this year, Tim visited Bethlehem, and we had a wonderful time together, which led him to invite us to be his guests at the library for a personal tour.

During our visit, we will join the monks for the Liturgy of the Hours in the Abbey Church, designed by Marcel Breuer. We will also tour the chapel, an architectural masterpiece. After the tour, we'll share a meal at the refectory, where we can enjoy an all-you-can-eat buffet, including desserts.

We will travel by bus to St. John's on November 14, 2024, departing at 8:00 am from the Minneapolis campus and returning around 4:00 pm. There is an opportunity for pickup/drop off from the Minnetonka campus, so please register in advance and indicate that in your registration. This entire experience (travel, museum guide, meal) costs only $55! Register for this event here.
