Event Information:

Race and Christianity in the United States is an eight-part video series on the history of race and Christianity. It focuses on black/white relations and covers important episodes from before the beginning of the American colonies (we have to go back to Europe and Africa to talk about the development of race) to the 2016 election.

This series and the accompanying curriculum was developed by Sarah Ruble, associate professor of religion at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN. Sarah earned a Master’s of Theological Studies from Duke Divinity School and a Ph.D. in U.S. Religious History from Duke University.

This small group will meet for 9 weeks, beginning March 8. The first week will be a pre-course session to help us get to know each other and establish what knowledge people are bringing with them about race and Christianity in America.

The group will be led by Bethlehem Twin Cities members Jen Vickerman and Tom Houle. We'd love to have you join us!
