About This Event
Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent with ash in the form of a cross on our foreheads. Ashes (a sign of our mortality), together with the cross (a sign of our hope), set us on our journey through the season of Lent. We receive this sign on our forehead hearing the words of Genesis 3:19, “Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return."
