Bethlehem Lutheran Church invites you to explore ways to Simplify your Giving.  Please look at the attachment titled Ways to Share God's Abundance to compare different options for sharing your financial resources.

Electronic Giving (Simply Giving or Bank Bill Pay)

Simply Giving, a service of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, provides a means of electronic giving to Lutheran congregations.  Bethlehem has participated in the Simply Giving program since 1999. Now you can make contributions online, on a one-time or recurring basis.

Electronic Giving is an easy, secure way to make your regular contributions to Bethlehem.

Two Ways to Sign Up Today!

1) Enrollment Form for Simply Giving
Print the Enrollment and Authorization Form at bottom of page. Complete the form and return it to Chris Haugen in the church office.

2) Online Donation
Make a Secure Online Donation, one-time or recurring. (You can also make payments for retreats, VBS, etc., here.)

Bank Bill Pay, another method of making electronic donations is through your on-line bank.  Please look at you Bill Pay section of your on-line bank to learn how to make one-time or recurring donations via your checking or saving account. 

Reasons to sign up for Electronic Giving:

• No need to write checks or bring cash to church
• Peace of mind knowing that the church is receiving your contribution even if you are unable to attend
• More secure than checks
• Can contribute using a checking or savings account
• Can contribute using a credit/debit card
• All contributions are recorded for you on your bank statement

Offering Envelopes

Weekly offering envelopes are a great way to combine your giving with attendance at worship services. Simply drop your gifts in the offering plate, and your personalized envelope number will assure that your contributions are properly credited. Offering envelopes can also be mailed if you can't attend a service. And there are special envelopes for special causes, such as outreach and missions.

Stocks and Securities

Gifts of appreciated stocks and securities can be an excellent way to share God's gifts. There are two ways to make a donation of securities: through an electronic transfer authorization or physical delivery. To ensure that we can acknowledge your gift for income tax purposes, please notify us in advance of the transmittal at chaugen@bethlehem-church.org or call 612.312.3402.

Option 1: Electronic Transfer Authorization
Your broker can electronically transfer your securities to Bethlehem. You can download the Stock Transfer Form at the bottom of this page and follow the instructions on it when you make your gift.

Option 2: Physical Delivery
If you have stock certificates, you may deliver them in person, by registered mail, or by courier to Bethlehem's office. If they are registered in your name, you will need to provide an Irrevocable Stock/Bond Power Form found at the bottom of this page.

Thrivent Choice Dollars Designation

Do you currently have investments with Thrivent Financial for Lutherans?  If so, you may be eligible for directing designated Choice Dollars through Thrivent Choice.  Eligible members can recommend Bethlehem Lutheran Church as the beneficiery of some of  Thrivent's charitable outreach grant dollars.  A great way to give to Bethlehem is by simply participating in this program!
