Kids' Choice Program
The idea of incorporating young people into the work of the Bethlehem Foundation surfaced about two years ago. It was part of what convinced Thrivent Financial for Lutherans to help Bethlehem develop this idea further. This led to the formation of a $100,000 designated fund in the Bethlehem Endowment called the Kids' Choice Fund.
It's called the Kids' Choice Fund because all young people in our congregation will have a chance to figure out how to give away money wisely, to make the world a better place because of their decisions. Earnings from this $100,000 base-about $5,000 each year-will be used for grants to worthy efforts the young people see as significant. As this fund grows each year the impact will increase.
